Garage & Workshop

The bicycle garage is lockable and has a digital locking system. This means that only authorized persons have access. Suitable tools, a workbench and bicycle holding pliers are available for minor repairs. Of course, we also have the most important consumable repair materials such as inner tubes etc. ready for you. For larger repairs, you can contact our external partner pedros bikeshop in Rothenburg or visit the customer workshop of a specialist bicycle store in Lucerne.

Cleaning & Chargers

You can clean your bike directly in front of the bike garage. Appropriate water facilities are available and you can also carry out minor repairs in the garage.
Does your bicycle or bike need «juice»? Bosch battery chargers are available in the garage & workshop.

Events & Courses

Would you like to learn something new, meet other bike aficionados or develop your skills? Pedro is a partner of Swiss Bike School and offers a wide range of courses.
Tips from a pro? No problem, Martin Elmiger – former professional cyclist with the Post Swiss Team, among others – offers individual rides and riding technique training.

CHÄRNSMATT +...Pedro’s Bike Treff

During the summer, Pedro's Bike Meet always takes place on Monday evenings from 6.30 pm. Take part in this sociable event, share your passion for two-wheelers with like-minded people and enjoy an uncomplicated stay at the Bike-Hotel CHÄRNSMATT.

Laundry Service

Dirty laundry left with us by 6 p.m. will be returned by 9 a.m. the next morning. You can obtain the appropriate laundry bags from us at reception. We charge CHF 12.00 for a basic laundry package (e.g. with socks, leg and arm warmers, short and long-sleeved shirt, short/long cycling shorts, gilet, rain jacket etc.).

Bike Rental

The rental bikes from nextbike are available for a leisurely bike ride. Bikes can also be hired from pedros bikeshop on request.

Rail Travel

Smart people travel by train - when they're not on their bikes! For rail travel, you usually need a reservation and a valid ticket for your “wiry” friend. Just a click away you will find everything you need to know about bike shipping, bike transportation, luggage check-in or the SBB online timetable.

Shuttle Service & Luggage Service

The Lindau bus station is directly in front of the hotel. From here you can take the vbl Busline 50/52 directly to Lucerne railroad station. For rail travel by bike, you will usually need a reservation and a valid ticket for your “wiry” friend. We will be happy to help you organize a shuttle service or luggage service.
